About Me

I am Mikayla Brown, a passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and International Board Certified Behavior Analyst and CEU Provider, doctoral learner, and dedicated advocate for individuals with neurological disorders, including autism spectrum disorder. As the author of the children's book Are We There Yet?, I aim to inspire and educate through storytelling while also fostering growth and learning within the special needs community.
My commitment to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) extends beyond direct practice; I am deeply invested in training future practitioners to enhance their competency and compassion when working with diverse populations. Through Aligned Horizons Behavioral Solutions, I provide valuable resources and training to parents and professionals, emphasizing ethical, person-centered care.
I'm also the executive producer/host of the Behavior Unlocked Podcast, a digital space where busy learners can gain professional fluency and deeper insights into ABA practices. As the founder of the Hope Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing homelessness among neurodivergent individuals by offering life skills training and support services. Our goal is to create a safe, empowering environment where individuals can build independence and thrive.
I am honored to have been featured at the ABA Roundtable Conference and The Behavior Technician Conference, where I shared insights on compassionate care and professional development. As the host of ABA Verzus, I facilitate in-person and virtual events across the United States, fostering community and professional connection.
Through my social media presence as @TheABAAlchemist on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, I have built a vibrant community of dedicated ABA professionals and advocates. My goal is to inspire and empower others to make a meaningful impact in the field of ABA by tackling complex topics and championing ethical, inclusive practices.
